You can safely wear AIRSCUD™ FLEX under any brand of motorcycle jacket. However, before doing so, remove the back protector and any detachable lining, and make sure the airbag has enough space to inflate safely.
Follow this protocol to check whether AIRSCUD is compatible with your jacket:
Take these measurements without wearing AIRSCUD™ FLEX:
A) Chest circumference in cm | inches (e.g., 100 cm | 39 inches)
B) Waist circumference at navel height in cm | inches (e.g., 90 cm | 35 inches)
Add these two measurements, then divide the total by 2 (e.g., 100 + 90 = 190 and 190/2 = 95 cm | 39 + 35 = 74 and 74/2 = 37 inches).
Measure your jacket by laying it completely flat, fully zipped, on a surface, and stretching any elastic parts as much as possible:
A) Measure the jacket’s width under the armpits in cm | inches (e.g., 58 cm | 22 inches).
B) Measure the jacket’s width at navel level in cm | inches (e.g., 52 cm | 20 inches).
Add these two measurements (e.g., 58 + 52 = 110 cm | 22 + 20 = 42 inches).
Your jacket is compatible with the airbag if the difference between the result from Step 2 (110 cm | 42 inches) and the result from Step 1 (95 cm | 37 inches) is greater than 13 cm | 5.2 inches.
Example: 110 - 95 = 15 cm | 42 - 37 = 5 inches → Your jacket is compatible.
